Pétanque in the park?
Friends of Newlands Park volunteers are looking at the possibility of constructing a pétanque/boules pitch in the park.
Pétanque is one of the world’s most popular and accessible sports, suitable for all ages, and Friends of Newlands Park believe that a pétanque pitch is a facility well suited to Newlands Park.
In order to move forward, however, Friends of Newlands Park need to prove that there is enough support for this project, and that it would be of benefit to the local community.
